Samuel Wolf's First Page
Samuel in the Late Afternoon | Wolf Family Home Page | Sam's Home Page
Announcing...
Samuel Lincoln Wolf was born on Tuesday, August 12, at 11:32 a.m. He was 5 pounds, 12 ounces at birth, and is now [September, 1997] over 6 pounds. Both Samuel and Jennifer are doing very well, although Jennifer is still tired (so am I).
Since Samuel cannot do his own home page yet, he asked me to put up some pictures for family and friends (I think that's what he was trying to say). So here are the first photos of Sam, rather raw and unedited, not to mention blurry (he is so small!). I am taking better ones with a proper reflex camera now and will add them soon. You can send us email by using the links which follow these thumbnail photos. You can also add your personal comments to this page using the form at the bottom of the page.
The sound in the background was a washing machine, our current theme song, but testing proved it difficult to recognize and reminiscent of a "machine gun". I have changed it to Mozart's Sonatina (K.545).
Thank you for your support and encouragement. Samuel seems particularly thrilled by it!
The Photos
There are now two sets of photos! The original, First Photos, and Samuel in the Late Afternoon, consisting of sharper close-ups so you can really see what he looks like.
First Photos
Below are thumbnail-sized versions of the photos. You may click on a photo to see it full-sized. On a 28.8 modem, each photo takes a minute or two to load, so be prepared. You may:
- Click on a thumbnail to see a full-sized version (not as slow as loading them all on one page, but still slow).
- If you want all the pictures to load together on one page, click here (this takes a long time, even with a 28.8 modem and good connection, but once it is done, you can see all the pictures together or come back and view each one separately without reloading).

Well David, I didn't recognize the washing machine until you explained what it was. But I think it was appropriate. I want you to put in the sound of Samuel screeching which he must do at least some of the time. Congratulations to both you and Jennifer. I am delighted. When you get rested let's set up a time to get together. Love to all, Terry Maltsberger
Terry,
Here is Sam's screech! It is a 103KB wave file. You can chose Open after you click on the link and you should hear it after it downloads.

Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!!! Congrats to Samuel for getting born, to his parents for producing him, to myself for getting another grandson. And to David for these beautiful 9 photos that I succeeded in downloading onto disk so that I can look at them whenever I want. I am biased enough to think that Samuel is an unusually good looking neonate. Let us hear a chorus of "Ah, beautiful" .LOVE, DAD

Wonderful pictures! Fabulous Home Page! It is marvelous for Samuel Lincoln to be on a WEB page so soon after his birth! With parents like Jennifer and David he will undoubtedly grow up to be naturally a part of the computer age and a successful person. All the best for all of you and the proud grandparent! Dear David and Jennifer,
I enjoyed the first set of photos, but this second set takes the cake. I'm especially in love with the one with him sleeping. What a beautiful baby. Enjoy your good fortune.

David and Jennifer, With the memories of the past six months, your pictures of Jen's birthing, Sam's healthy infancy, and your wonderfully expressive smiles, we especially appreciate and love your creation. The attention and care Sam has been receiving is a testimony to your excellent parenting. Congratulations to all of you! Your proud father, father-in-law and grandpop! Beck

The pictures of Sam are just wonderful. It's especially fun for David and Matthew. I couldn't help but notice Dad's self-reference as Grandpop. I'm sure that PopPop would be smiling. Love to all, Catherine
